Improving Ball State's Recycling Program

Ball State University is well-known throughout the country for being one of the leaders in having a "green" (aka environmentally-friendly) campus. Although the university has done many things to deserve this title, much of those projects have been done behind the scenes and without the general population's knowledge.

Recycling is a popular environmental activity that most people in the United States are accustomed to doing. Unfortunately, Ball State's system is not standardized among housing, dining, academics, and sports. This disparity creates unnecessary confusion and actually causes people to not want to recycle. By working with the Student Government Association and other campus groups, we hope to improve our campus recycling system to one that all students can be proud of and use.
