Focus the Nation-BSU

 

On January 31, 2008 SSC hosted a global warming teach-in at the Student Center at BSU. We had over 50 speakers consisting of professors, community leaders, and BSU faculty/staff.  Both Ball State’s President Gora and Council on the Environment endorsed the event.

 

About Focus the Nation

 

A project based out of Lewis & Clark College, Focus the Nation is coordinating teams of faculty and students at over a thousand colleges, universities and high schools in the U.S. to collaboratively engage in a nationwide, interdisciplinary discussion about “Global Warming Solutions for America.” Focus the Nation will culminate January 31, 2008, in the form of a national symposia held simultaneously at over a thousand campuses and other venues across the country. Over 800 institutions have signed up so far, and over twenty college presidents have endorsed Focus the Nation activities.
